A popular alternative to the rock oyster, Pacific Oysters were introduced to Australia from Japan in the 1940s and are now grown in South Australia, Tasmania and some estuaries in New South Wales. They grow faster and bigger than the Sydney Rock Oyster and can reach market size in only 18 months. Pacific Oysters have a subtle creamy, sweet and salty flavour. Their peak season is generally from autumn through to spring, depending on the estuary.
We harvest weekly when stock is available. Please specify your preferred delivery date at checkout. From harvest to delivery is 1-3 days, with delivery by Friday. Order cut-offs is by 12:00 noon on Tuesdays. Orders received after this will be shipped the following week.
